Jepara – Atas instruksi dari Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Jepara dalam hal ini Seksi Penyelenggara Haji dan Umroh menyelenggarakan Kegiatan Foto Ulang Wajib bagi Calon Jamaah Haji yang akan berangkat tahun 2019, di Aula 2 Kemenag Jepara, Kamis (15/11).
Kegiatan ini dihadiri kepala Kantor dan kepala Seksi Haji, serta seluruh calon jamaah haji yang akan berangkat tahun depan.
Kegiatan foto ulang ini dilaksanakan atas instruksi dari Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Jawa Tengah disebabkan karena calon jamaah haji yang akan berangkat merupakan calon jamaah haji yang telah mendaftar dari 8 tahun yang lalu.
“Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan update atau perbaruan foto sehingga foto yang ditampilkan merupakan foto yang betul-betul mewakili bentuk wajah yang terbaru dari calon jamaah haji tersebut” ujar Hastuti Harijati, Kepala Seksi Penyelenggara Haji dan Umroh.
Kegiatan ini akan berlangsung selama empat hari dimulai hari kamis, jum’at, senin dan selasa. Setiap hari dibagi menjadi dua sesi. Yakni pagi dan siang.
Pemotretan wajah ulang ini akan sangat berguna karena nanti sebelum berangkat jamaah haji akan diperiksa dengan biometrik pola wajah di asrama haji solo.
Biometrik adalah metode untuk mengenali seseorang berdasarkan ciri-ciri fisik, karakter, dan perilakunya secara otomatis. Pengenalan karakter ini dilakukan melalui retina, sidik jari, pola wajah dan sebagainya.
“Perekaman biometrik dilakukan untuk mempermudah jemaah calon haji saat mendatangi tanah suci” ujar Nor Rosyid, Kepala Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Jepara.
Pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya proses ini dilakukan di bandara kedatangan di Arab Saudi. Pada tahun sebelumnya, untuk pertama kalinya dilakukan di Indonesia.
Perekaman biometrik ini bermanfaat supaya calon jamaah haji tidak terlalu lama menunggu saat tiba di tanah suci, karena tidak harus melakukan perekaman biometrik di sana.
“Ini adalah upaya untuk mempermudah imigirasi di Arab dan faktor kelelahan karena mengantri setelah tiba di tanah suci” ujar Nor Rosyid. (fm)
