Jepara – Siswi kelas XI MIPA 5 salah satu anggota ekstrakurikuler pecinta alam PUMAPALA MAN 1 Jepara atas nama Nila Nur Aulia berhasil membawa medali juara 3 panjat dinding kategori Speed WR Youth Putri kejuaraan Sirkuit Panjat Tebing Pantura II dan Jateng Climb Series 2, di Hutan Kota Rajawali Batang, Sabtu (7/9).
“Atlet Panjat Tebing Batang di Jawa Tengah merupakan unggulan. Saat ini, kami pun mengikutsertakan empat atlet untuk masuk dalam pelatda Jawa Tengah yang dipersiapkan untuk Pra PON di 2020 mendatang,” ungkap Pengurus FPTI Jateng, Putut Husamadiman, saat menghadiri kejuaraan Sirkuit Panjat Tebing Pantura II dan Jateng Climb Series 2, di Hutan Kota Rajawali Batang, Sabtu (7/9).
Ketua FPTI Batang, dr Bhekti Mastiadji menjelaskan, kejuaraan Sirkuit Panjat Tebing Pantura II dan Jateng Climb Series 2 diikuti sebanyak 139 Atlet panjat tebing dari berbagai daerah di Jateng. Ia menyebutkan, kejuaraan yang diikuti oleh 14 kabupaten di Jateng itu diikuti oleh kelompok umur 7 tahun sampai dengan 19 tahun. “Untuk kelas yang di perebutkan menjadi yang tercepat, yakni Speed dan Lead,” bebernya.
Bupati Batang, Wihaji mengatakan, kejuaraan Sirkuit Panjat Tebing Pantura II dan Jateng Climb Series 2 merupakan momentum membina dan melahirkan atlet – atlet profesional, baik dari Batang maupun luar Batang. Nantinya mereka bisa mewakili Jateng maupun Indonesia di kancah internasional.
Sementara itu, Abdul Kholik selaku pelatih PUMAPALA MAN 1 Jepara mengapresiasi positif akan prestasi yang diraih anak bimbingannya. Harapannya kedepan anak bimbinganya lebih baik dan lebih giat lagi dalam berlatih.
“Bapak Rifan telah memberikan kesempatan dan dorongannya kepada kami. Beliau berpesan bahwa kompetisi merupakan ajang menenpa mental, semangat dan kerjasama. Olahraga panjat dinding merupakan olah raga yang menyenangkan namun beresiko, banyak otot yang bekerja ketika melakukan panjat dinding, baik otot tubuh bagian atas maupun bawah, termasuk punggung, perut, bahu, lengan, dan tungkai. Maka anak-anak harus dilatih secara rutin, dan harus ikut dalam kejuaraan di luar daerah,” tutur Abdul Khaliq. (Th)
