Jakarta (Kemenag) — Kementerian Agama melalui Direktorat Kurikulum Sarana Kelembagaan dan Kesiswaan (KSKK) Madrasah, Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Islam akan kembali menggelar Kompetisi Robotik Madrasah V. Kompetisi ini akan digelar di Grand City Mall, Surabaya pada 16 – 17 November 2019.
“Tahun ini, Kompetisi Robotik Madrasah agak berbeda dengan tahun sebelumnya. Kita akan gelar kompetisi ini, di luar Jabodetabek. Kita ingin cari suasana baru. Sebab, sebelumnya selalu digelar di Jakarta, Tangerang, dan Depok. Mudah-mudah ke depan, bisa berganti-ganti daerah,” jelas Direktur Kurikulum Sarana Kelembagaan dan Kesiswaan (KSKK) Madrasah, Ahmad Umar, di Jakarta, Kamis (26/09).
Menurut Umar, Kompetisi Robotik tahun ini mengangkat tema Robots Save The Earth (Green Energy and Environmental Issues). “Kita ingin mengajak siswa-siswi madrasah agar sadar tentang keselamatan bumi dan lingkungan. Serta mengajak mereka berkreasi untuk menciptakan robot yang turut membantu menyelamatkan bumi dan lingkungan sekitar mereka dari kerusakan. Isu pelestarian lingkungan adalah isu penting yang dihadapi semua negara saat ini. Oleh sebab itu, kompetisi sejatinya ingin mengajak siswa-siswi madrasah sadar akan hal tersebut,” tuturnya.
Kuota peserta kompetisi tahun ini juga bertambah. Kalau sebelumnya hanya 20, tahun ini menjadi 30 tim untuk setiap kategori. Hal ini sebagai respon atas tingginya minat siswa madrasah yang mendaftar kompetisi ini. Kompetisi Robotik Madrasah itu sendiri terbagi dalam tiga kategori. Pertama, Kategori Rancang Bangun Mesin Otomatis. Kategori ini dibuka untuk semua tingkatan, MI, MTs dan MA. “Dalam kategori ini, siswa diminta untuk membuat model robot yang berfungsi sesuai dengan tema yang diminta,” tutur Umar.
Kedua, Kategori Robot Pemilah Sampah. Ini khusus untuk peserta dari siswa MTs. “Mereka akan diminta membuat robot yang berfungsi untuk memilah sampah berdasarkan jenis yang ditentukan,” jelasnya.
Adapun kategori ketiga adalah Robot Challange dengan menggunakan teknologi IoT (Internet of Things). Kategori ini untuk peserta dari siswa MA. “Mereka akan diminta membuat robot yang mampu melalui halangan atau rintangan dan juga mampu mentransfer data dengan menggunakan teknologi IoT,” ujarnya.
Pendaftaran Kompetisi Robotik Madrasah V ini mulai dibuka sejak hari ini, 26 September hingga 14 Oktober 2019. Pendaftaran dilakukan secara daring dengan klik: Daftar Kompetisi Robotik Madrasah V tahun 2019.
“Kami sudah menyiapkan hadiah berupa uang pembinaan untuk para pemenang dengan total mencapai 300 juta,” tandas Umar.
